Every public place has their own rules of etiquette. Your local gym is no different. In fact, these rules are just as important as learning how to use the machines correctly.
5. Clean Up After Yourself
Put away dumbbells and other equipment in their proper place. The next user will appreciate you taking the few extra moments to put them away. You’ll also appreciate the effort of others when it’s your time to use them.
4. Honor The Water Fountain Line
Everybody’s thirsty in a gym. Don’t get in line to fill your gallon-size water bottle when the people behind you just want a quick drink.
3. Don’t Let It All Hang Out
Cover up with a towel while strolling through the locker room on your way to and back from the shower.
2. No Cell Phones Please
You’re going to the gym to work out. You won’t be getting the results you want if you’re always on the phone. It’s also a distraction for those around you.
1.Sets And Spotting
Safely lifting safely requires 100% concentration. Make sure you give a broad radius to those lifters around you and don’t talk to them while they’re in a middle of a set. Also, don’t forget to offer to “spot,” but make sure you do it properly.
