Evening workouts can be an eagerly anticipated activity. Unfortunately, they’re often the first item to get bumped when something unexpected comes up. That’s why some people make working out a priority first thing in the morning. But, for night owls, morning workouts started gradually.
5. Don’t Expect To Change Your Routine Overnight
If you typically workout 5 times a week, plan on making 2 of those morning times. Then, increase the time to 3 mornings and so on. Most of us have a natural energy cycle that makes them either a morning or night person. Fighting your own body to workout is tough.
4. “Get Something Rather Than Get Nothing”
When changing to a morning workout, don’t immediately focus on the same quality workout you get at night. At least for the first week, just be content with getting a workout done.
3. Prep The Night Before
Set out your clothes, shoes, and water bottle the night before. If you really have a hard time getting up, set your alarm and put it on the other side of the room so you have to get out of bed to turn it off.
2. You Get To Choose When To Have Breakfast
Not everyone does well exercising after a meal. However, many people relish those few minutes of just waking up and eating before going to work out. You may try having a banana or yogurt than eating something more substantial when you get done.
1.Whenever Possible, Make The Transition In The Summertime
It’s hard enough changing your fitness routine to mornings. But, to do it when it is dark and cold is just torture.
